This reminds me of Neil & Otto’s Med Bread.
Neil & Otto’s was a pizza place located in the basement of a church just off campus from my alma mater.  It was a strange location, but it was good.  So good it was, dare I say, HOLY.  I can probably attribute one-third of my Freshman Fifteen Twenty to this place - this dish in particular.
Apparently, the full restaurant name was ‘Neil & Otto’s Pizza Cellar’ - I did not know that.  Also, apparently it has since been bought out by a man named Neri who wants to start serving alkie-holic bevies…in the basement…of a church.  Not appropriate.
Side note: I’m not actually positive the name of this dish is Med Bread; I’m pretty sure that’s the name of a pizza from American Flatbread, another pizza place which holds strong ties to my college memories.  If you’ve never been to an American Flatbread, I highly recommend you do.  It serves ‘all natural pizza baked in a primitive wood-fired earthen oven.’  The ingredients are locally harvested, fresh ingredients.  Their weekly specials are typically specific to each franchise’s geographical location and the season it is served.  I had a chance to go the original American Flatbread in Waitsfield, VT a couple weekends ago.  I STUFFFFFED my face.
That was a long PIZZA rant, and now I am seriously craving Flatbread.  Luckily, there is an American Flatbread essentially down the street from where I work.  I swear I can’t get away from this place, but I don’t have a problem with that.
